PETER GREENE award for Best Acting

Any actor in both Feature and Short films. This award is not about the length of the film, nor the category, is about the performance.

Who can win this award?

Peter Greene (1959-2025) was a superb actor; from the green-faced mobster in The Mask, to the sadistic Zed in Pulp Fiction, Greene had a knack for playing antagonists. He entered the FIC AUTOR universe with the film 3 Days Rising, directed by Craig Cukrowski, his friend of over 20 years. As his last leading role, it was meant to be his return to dramatic acting. Peter Greene was one of the few actors who could emote an entire scene with only a close-up of his eyes.

In our 10th edition of the festival, we decided to give an award for best acting, to unite communities, directors and actors. After seeing Peter Greene’s performance, we wished to honor his legacy by naming the award after him, with the permission of his family.

Peter Greene will always be remembered within the FIC AUTOR family.
